Uploaded artwork

Artwork selected in the preview tool is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. The application does not upload those capsule files to its server.

The title, description, developer, and publisher values you enter are used to render the current preview. They are not submitted to an application server.

Removing local artwork

Use the Remove control for a placement to delete its stored artwork from the browser. Clearing this site's browser data also removes the IndexedDB copies.

External image requests

The simulated comparison surfaces load publicly available capsule images from Steam's image CDN. When your browser requests those images, the CDN can receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address, browser user agent, and request time.

Those requests do not include the capsule artwork you uploaded to the preview.

Hosting and server logs

Cloudflare hosts this site and may process standard request data needed to deliver it, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors. This can include IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, and browser headers.

Accounts, advertising, and analytics

The site has no user accounts or advertising system and does not require a login. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views, visits, referral sources, general browser and device information, country-level location, and page performance.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage to track people. Cloudflare receives an IP address as part of the normal request but states that the analytics service discards it at the edge rather than storing it in its analytics data.

Cookies

Steam Capsule Preview and its analytics do not set tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security or delivery mechanisms when serving the site.

Children's data

The tool is intended for game developers and artwork teams. It does not knowingly request personal information from children.

Changes

This notice will be updated if the site's storage, analytics, feedback, or hosting practices change.
